Swanyee is trying to provide a series of attempts to raise the living standard of the rural poor and at the same time to help them to stand on their own feet.
We intend to optimize the realization of a society’s many different social, environmental and economic objectives for sustainable development.
Swanyee Development Foundation is mainly implementing in basic social infrastructure for rural development. As we have mentioned, there are including all sectors. (Example-Education, Religious, Social, Transportation, Disaster Risk Reduction, etc….)
We are implementing counterpart with capacity building according to basic social infrastructure, social networking (especially, forming the CBOs, providing capacity building as they need), connect with marketing, value added. And we are conducting poverty reduction, stimulating and providing the community to participate as they can do by themselves for social development through social network. We mainly aim is enhanced the communities with the socio economic infrastructures and the resilient capacities for disasters, and are developing in a sustainable way by self reliant basis.
Capacity developing for development is a vital component taking place across the spectrum of Swanyee’s work. Since the existence and emergence of vibrant community groups are still very limited in Myanmar, it is essential to help build capacity for them to become the vehicle for positive transformation to take place.
By using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) process, a collective will develop where community leaders emerge, who, with further skills training, are able to transform theory into the practice of development sustainable.
Appropriate training and exchange visits are provided for Swanyee staff and ADCOM members as needed. In addition, when opportunities become available, qualified staff are encouraged to study to other places.
Rural Development and Poverty Reduction is one of the main sectors of work that Swanyee emphasizes to be in line with our mission. Although the donors and partners’ approaches were emphasized in emergency response and some sectors, Swanyee’s Rural development activities represent a series of attempts to raise the living standard of the rural poor and at the same time to help them to stand on their own feet by optimizing the realization of a society’s many different social, environmental and economic objectives.
